Delving into the rich Vinyl Fanatiks collection, let's journey back to 2019. Unveiling one of our standout acts, Mad Dog, a dynamic collaboration between Dave Wallace of Aquasky and Shaun O’Hara of Aurora. The resurgence of this EP was made possible through a successful Kickstarter campaign, with each limited edition meticulously hand-stamped and numbered. Remarkably popular, this gem remained exclusive, never entering mainstream distribution at the time.

Originally unleashed in 1993 on Underdog Recordings in Bournemouth, this track held significant sway in the era of Bukem, featured twice in his iconic Dreamscape New Years Eve set as the clock struck midnight! Crafted in the Avon Studios of Charminster, Bournemouth, a hub where two-thirds of Aquasky resided, and Underdog Recordings thrived. A unique touch was the pirate radio broadcast from the attic – fondly dubbed The House Of Rave.

This studio not only birthed Mad Dog but also played a pivotal role in Fugitive releases, the early Aquasky releases under Moving Shadow, and served as the headquarters for Stormtrooper Recordings – a prominent UK Happy Hardcore label featuring The Rebel Alliance (helmed by Dave and Shaun). Bournemouth, unbeknownst to many, played a crucial role in shaping the dance history of the UK!
